Utah High Altitude Brook Trout

Nice Catch
Caught on Wooly Bugger in Southern Utah

Brenton was able to land this beauty with a Wooly Bugger fished on 4X tippet material. On this day he used the two inch slow retrieve causing the Wooly Bugger to undulate in a pattern similar to a leech. This was effective due to the large amount of leeches in the high latitude lake. This abundant food source allows the Brook Trout to overcome its short growing season at 10,000 feet, creating an impressive specimen.
